Recently the largest flare system of coal chemical industry in China, Zhongtian Hechuang Erdos Coal Processing Demonstration Project entire plant flare system, which is contracted as EPC package by Jiangsu Sunpower Technology Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as Sunpower), has achieved successful mechanical completion.
Zhongtian Hechuang Erdos Coal Processing Demonstration Project is a national demonstration project of petroleum substitution and an outsize coal processing company with integral coal, coal chemical products and power generation. Entire plant flare system is the important utility section of the project, determining the system safety of entire plant.
The flare system is composed of 2 sets of 150m high flare, which is the national largest system with significant design and construction challenge. The construction work started in April of 2015. Although basic design approval was delayed and with lots of changes, Sunpower managed to achieve mechanical completion 2 month in advance than contract schedule by optimization of plan and improvement of construction methods, which greatly increase the construction efficiency. Moreover, Sunpower project management and coordination have been fully accredited by the owner with 2015 Annual HSE Award and Annual Project Manager HSE Management Award. In the comprehensive evaluation of quality, schedule, HSE, etc organized by the owner in April this year, Sunpower won the second place outstanding achievement!
